Marriage is one of the most important commitments that two people can make in their life. On 9 December 2017 The law finally changed and same-sex marriage became legal in Australia. Bill and Michael fought hard with the community for equality. The changes were achieved because of the tireless work of people like them and the supporters and volunteers! You changed this world… Your selfless service made Australia an inclusive place showing the world what we stand for. Michael and Bill would like to acknowledge and respect the members of our community who never were able to see this law change when the majority of the nation voted YES to equality! I asked them what they are looking forward to most about being married and they told me that its about “Being Equal,…….being able to call my partner my husband……final no question asked commitment” Congratulations to a lovely couple. A beautiful heartwarming ceremony involving family and friends at their home in Sydney.
